A private tour with Uncork’d allows you to venture into unexplored parts of the Constantia Wine Estates and their cellars. Veering off the well-trodden tourist path, you will enjoy personalised tastings in beautiful places with a local wine guide who has an intimate knowledge of the area and its people.
It is often not the wine that lingers in the mind after the experience is over, but the smells, sounds and sights that endure. Your experience will be remembered long after the wine has been enjoyed.

Book NowExperience the splendour of the Constantia Valley from a privileged perspective
Treat your partner to a journey into the winelands – just the two of you. No need to make polite small talk with strangers. Delight in a day doing things at your own pace, on your own terms. Your itinerary will be designed around your individual requirements. No compromises necessary.
Your overseas guests will be treated like royalty in typical five-star South African fashion – the perfect way to show them your hospitality and appreciation for their business. Or, spoil your employees to a day of fun and relaxed team building.
Many of the Constantia cellars are not open to the public. Sample the privilege, not available to all, of wandering at leisure through a cellar to gain a first-hand perspective of the winemaking process. Gain exclusive access to the most picturesque tasting venue in the valley – perched high in the vineyards alongside a dam and overlooking the valley and False Bay. Fish eagles have graced us with their presence!
Taste the development of the wine directly from the barrel, at various stages in the ageing process. The grapes travel a journey from grape juice to wine, and evolution is gradual and often unpredictable. Winemakers taste and test the wine frequently while in barrel to decide the perfect period of oaking and ageing that a wine needs before bottling. You too can put your palate to the test.
‘Not for Tasting’ – three dreaded words on a list of wines – but ones Uncork'd can help you dodge. If there’s a wine you really have to try, chances are you will be able to. Let Uncork’d do the negotiating – all you need do is the tasting.
Lisa lived in North America for many years, and during her travels was fortunate to visit the famed wineries of the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. More recently, she explored the vineyards of Burgundy and the Loire Valley by bicycle. What a privilege to witness a Burgundian harvest! She believes that the Constantia Valley Wine Route ranks with the best of those in Europe and North America, and is more accessible – right on the doorstep of Cape Town.
After an Arts degree and many years working as a journalist and editor, Lisa completed numerous wine courses through the Cape Wine Academy. She worked in the tasting room of one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms, where she realised that most people left with a rudimentary understanding and feel for the valley. In keeping with her belief that good wine takes time to produce, Lisa believes the same to be true of a good tasting experience.
